About the event
We are thrilled to announce the launch of "Dare to Shine, Dare to Lead," the first of two 12-week youth open mic training initiatives! This program is designed to empower young people through performance and hands-on experience in running open mic events.
The program kicks off on October 5, 2025, at the Roxbury Arts Alliance, Citizens Bank Theater. Artistic Director, Lorraine Ferro, will facilitate classes along with key Life Center Stage staff.
These classes are open to students ages 12-18 who reside in Morris and Sussex counties. They will cover topics related to the role the arts play in public health, essential skills such as stage presence, audience connection, mic technique, the fundamentals of event management, and more.
Our goal is to equip participants with the confidence and leadership skills needed to shine in their lives, on stage, and in their communities.
Preregistration is required, space is limited.
