Step into the world of the American Revolution through the eyes of an extraordinary woman. As part of Roxbury Arts Alliance’s Voices of America programming - celebrating the stories, spirit, and people who shaped our nation, this captivating living history performance brings Catharine “Caty” Greene to life. Portrayed by storyteller and impersonator Carol Simon Levin, Caty’s voice offers a powerful and often overlooked perspective on America’s fight for independence.


The spirited and resilient wife of General Nathanael Greene, Caty traveled alongside the Continental Army, enduring harsh conditions at encampments like Valley Forge while offering comfort, connection, and leadership behind the scenes. More than a general’s wife, she navigated war, motherhood, and financial hardship, forming relationships with influential figures including Alexander Hamilton, George and Martha Washington, and Eli Whitney.
